About the position

The Business Intelligence Lead Analyst will play a crucial role in the Business Intelligence team at Huntington, focusing on data integrity and analytics to support decision-making across the organization. This position involves collaborating with senior stakeholders, enhancing existing reports and analytics products, and driving improvements in data structure and toolsets to achieve the goal of becoming the best performing regional bank in America.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior stakeholders and business teams to elicit business requirements.
  • Provide advanced business support for existing reports, dashboards, or other tools.
  • Assist with the translation of data results into written reports, tables, graphs, and charts to convey information to management.
  • Review and present written communication materials that effectively summarize findings and support recommendations.
  • Create ad hoc reports and views on a frequent basis to assist management in understanding, researching, and analyzing issues.
  • Teach and advocate the use of business intelligence tools across levels of the organization.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members and develop the team to work with all areas of the organization.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure that business needs are clearly understood and that services meet those needs.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of applications, methodologies, and trends.
  • Analyze existing systems or procedures and identify technical or procedural improvements.
  • Serve as liaison between BICoE pod and other pods/business units.
  • Coach individuals through change and serve as a role model.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or additional work experience.
  • 7+ years related work experience including using BI tools to solve complex business problems, utilizing data analysis tools and techniques, writing software requirements and test specifications, using data to drive business decisions, and working with BI and other tooling (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, SQL, Snowflake).

Nice-to-haves

  • SQL programming (or any relational database programming language).

  • Ability to train more junior analysts regarding day-to-day activities, as necessary.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new technologies on the job.
  • Financial Services background.
