About the position

The Business Intelligence Market Research Analyst II at the Port of Seattle is responsible for conducting small- to medium-sized research projects, designing surveys, collecting and analyzing data, and reporting findings to stakeholders. This role involves consulting with clients on research methodologies, managing data collection, and ensuring data quality while applying equity principles in all aspects of work.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct small- to medium-sized research projects and report findings to stakeholders.
  • Design research projects including survey design and sampling.
  • Oversee data collection and analyze data to report findings.
  • Consult with clients on best methods to research business questions.
  • Manage data files, including data cleaning and quality assessment.
  • Write up research findings for internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Statistics, or Social Science.
  • Three years of experience conducting research in a business setting.
  • Knowledge of research principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Experience with survey design and data collection methods.
  • Proficiency in statistical software such as SPSS or R.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Qualtrics survey platform.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
