The Business Line Manager for Asset Performance Management (APM) Software at ABB is a pivotal role that focuses on overseeing the strategy, business growth, and execution of the APM software business line. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the business strategy for APM software, which includes conducting market analysis, competitive positioning, and identifying growth initiatives. You will engage in market research to uncover customer needs and market trends, using these insights to inform product development and marketing strategies. Financial analysis is also a key component, as you will work closely with controllers to ensure efficient budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for both short and long-term business objectives. Collaboration is essential in this position, as you will work with R&D, engineering, and product management teams to define product roadmaps, prioritize features, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions. Additionally, you will support sales and marketing efforts by developing go-to-market strategies, sales enablement tools, and marketing campaigns that drive awareness and adoption of APM software solutions. Customer engagement is a critical aspect of this role, where you will build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners, gather feedback, address concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction. You will also be responsible for financial management, developing and managing budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics to achieve financial targets. Leading and mentoring a cross-functional team of professionals will be part of your responsibilities, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Lastly, you will stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement within the APM software business line.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the business strategy for APM software, including market analysis, competitive positioning, and growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • Adept at managing budgets and driving digital business transformation.
