About the position

As a Senior Associate in the Business Management and Risk team at State Street, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Custody and Shared Services vision and strategic priorities. This position requires a self-starter who is not only analytical but also an excellent communicator, capable of driving various programs and projects. You will be expected to build a comprehensive understanding of each function's business model, which will enable you to effectively contribute to strategic horizontal initiatives and help deliver on the organization's strategic goals. In this role, you will manage deliverables that support the senior management team in overseeing the business and resolving issues to minimize risk and exposure. Your responsibilities will include assisting senior leadership with deliverable tracking and management of priorities, acting as the primary point of contact for various teams. You will oversee risk management priorities within functions, including self-testing and key risk indicators, and manage quick-hit deliverables for senior leadership. Additionally, you will interact with business teams to gather and synthesize information, providing essential reporting and analytics. Tracking progress against requests from internal parties such as GHR, Finance, and Business Controls will also be part of your duties. You will assist in executing organization-wide communications and events, including Town Hall meetings, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 3+ years of financial services experience
  • Strong work ethic with ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
  • Ability to clearly articulate ideas, both written and oral, to internal audiences
  • Versatility to adjust style, content and format to the needs, interests and knowledge level of the audience
  • Excellent critical-thinking skills
  • Results-oriented with a high attention to detail
  • Strong reporting and data analysis skills
  • Enthusiastic team player who can work independently
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
