About the position

We are seeking a full-charge bookkeeper with business management experience to join our boutique tax/business management firm. The role involves assisting business managers and the tax team in a busy yet calm office environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing client needs, performing QuickBooks data entry, conducting bank reconciliations, and preparing financial statements. This position emphasizes organization, multitasking, and clear communication within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client needs and expectations
  • Perform QuickBooks data entry
  • Conduct bank reconciliations
  • Prepare financial statements for partner approval
  • Process payroll entries
  • Maintain accurate books and records
  • Handle accounts payables and maintain cash reports
  • Understand and record mortgage loans and liabilities
  • Create loan applications as needed
  • Maintain both electronic and paper filing systems
  • Communicate effectively with team members
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; college preferred
  • 5 years or more of bookkeeping experience
  • Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Desktop
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word
  • Strong written communication and documentation skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Problem-solving attitude with attention to detail
  • Interpersonal skills and professionalism
