About the position

The Business Manager at Castle Woods Apartments plays a crucial role in supporting the Community Manager with asset management and overseeing on-site accounting functions. This position is responsible for leasing apartments and acts as the person-in-charge in the absence of the Property Manager, ensuring smooth operations within the community.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Community Manager in all functions of asset management.
  • Handle a significant portion of on-site accounting functions.
  • Lease apartments to prospective tenants.
  • Act as the person-in-charge when the Property Manager is not present.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in affordable housing.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of property management experience.
  • Lease-up experience preferred.
  • Ability to execute professional level customer service and multitask effectively.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience in Yardi and/or MRI is ideal.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and proof of automobile liability insurance coverage.

Nice-to-haves

  • Customer service and leasing experience (2 years preferred).
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize competing demands (1 year preferred).
  • Demonstrated understanding of rent collection practices (1-2 years preferred).
  • Current or past property management experience (1-2 years preferred).
  • Current or prior tax credit experience (1 year preferred).
