About the position

The Business Manager/Business Operations role at Nashville General Hospital is focused on overseeing the business operations of ambulatory primary care and specialty clinics. The position requires strategic management of financial performance, operational efficiency, and support for growth initiatives, ensuring high-quality patient-centered care through collaboration with clinical and administrative leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the clinic's budget, ensuring financial sustainability and accountability.
  • Monitor financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.
  • Oversee billing, coding, and reimbursement processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Optimize clinic workflows and processes to enhance operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  • Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) for business and administrative functions.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for facility needs and improvements.
  • Address patient complaints and concerns related to administrative services, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Implement and monitor patient feedback mechanisms to continually improve business and administrative services.
  • Support the development and implementation of strategic plans to expand service offerings and improve patient care.
  • Identify opportunities for business development and partnerships to enhance clinic growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare business management or a similar role, preferably in an ambulatory care setting.
