About the position

The National Sales Manager at Ortiz&Co. Events will focus on expanding the company's client base and revenue streams within the tradeshow and expo industry. This role requires a strong background in sales and client relationship management, with the goal of driving new business opportunities and maintaining existing accounts. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients to provide tailored solutions and collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful event execution.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow new and existing business within the tradeshow and expo industry.
  • Manage and expand a book of business through client relationships and networking.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities by targeting companies interested in expos, tradeshows, and event management services.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions that align with Ortiz&Co's offerings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., marketing, operations) to ensure smooth execution of events.
  • Maintain and exceed sales targets through strategic planning and consistent follow-up.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.
  • Attend industry events, expos, and networking opportunities to grow and maintain relationships.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience in the tradeshow or expo industry.
  • Proven experience in expositions/events.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with CRM software, particularly Salesforce.
  • Ability to work with all types of personalities.
  • Flexibility to work on-site and remotely as needed.
