About the position

The Business Objects Application Support Administrator at i360technologies is responsible for maintaining and supporting Business Objects environments, ensuring proper configuration and functionality. This role involves system maintenance, upgrades, and collaboration with SAP support to resolve issues. The administrator will also develop reports and dashboards, manage the Business Objects universe, and support business intelligence initiatives, all while working in a fast-paced environment that values strategic problem-solving and professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Business Objects environments ensuring correct configuration and functionality.
  • Perform Business Objects system maintenance and upgrades.
  • Coordinate with SAP support to address Business Objects issues.
  • Participate in design reviews and collaborate on design solutions.
  • Perform Business Objects Production implementations.
  • Develop Business Objects reports and dashboard solutions for various business intelligence projects.
  • Write functional and technical specifications for Business Objects solutions.
  • Define, design, and maintain the BO universe, BI dashboards, and reports.
  • Implement solutions to support physical data models for business intelligence reporting initiatives.
  • Design, develop, test, and support Oracle/SQL stored procedures and functions.
  • Communicate directly with BI team members to confirm requirements and clarify business rules.
  • Understand BO clustering and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Develop, support, and improve existing BO systems including Universes and Reports.
  • Migrate BO components across various environments.
  • Document modifications and new developments for peer reference and knowledge transfer.
  • Develop prototypes and present to stakeholders as solution options for new technologies.
  • Follow Configuration Management processes for all migrations.
  • Create/Update System Technical Requirements documentation.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer to client staff.

Requirements

  • Three years of full-time experience in business analysis, application support, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree or IT Certificate in computer science, information management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and technical skills.
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to clear a federal background investigation.
  • Must be a US Citizen or have a Green Card.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with SAP BusinessObjects and Business Intelligence tools.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server and Oracle database management.
  • Experience in a controlled life cycle BO environment.
  • Familiarity with BO clustering and disaster recovery strategies.
