We are seeking a dedicated Business Office Manager/Human Resources Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes. They will also be responsible for processing payroll, resident billing and payment processing, vendor management, invoice coding, recruiting, and hiring, evaluating, motivating, scheduling, and supervising the department team members, partnering with the Executive Director to encourage strong team engagement and morale. The Business Office Manager/Human Resources Manager will perform with a high degree of accuracy all Community accounting functions including daily deposits, daily census, accounts receivable/collections, accounts payable, and running management reports. They will coordinate all payroll functions for every department, maintain team member and resident files in accordance with Company policy and applicable laws, and manage all workers' compensation claim reporting and communications. The role requires a general understanding of Federal and State regulations to ensure compliance, and participation in daily meetings to communicate key issues within the department. The successful candidate will develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy, manage the recruitment and selection process, and nurture a positive working environment. They will oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance and maintain the pay plan and benefits program. This position is crucial in supporting current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes.
  • Process payroll, resident billing, and payment processing.
  • Manage vendor management and invoice coding.
  • Recruit and hire new team members, evaluate and motivate existing staff.
  • Supervise department team members and partner with the Executive Director to encourage strong team engagement and morale.
  • Perform all Community accounting functions including daily deposits, daily census, accounts receivable/collections, and accounts payable.
  • Coordinate all payroll functions for every department, confirming hours worked and processing payroll.
  • Maintain team member and resident files in accordance with Company policy and applicable laws.
  • Respond to State Disability and Unemployment claims in a timely manner.
  • Manage all workers' compensation claim reporting and communications with injured workers.
  • Participate in daily meetings to communicate key issues within the department.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven work experience as an HR Manager or similar role.
  • Prefer two (2) years managerial experience.
  • Prefer two (2) years' experience in basic accounting, resident billing, vendor management, payroll, office administration preferably in the senior living industry.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Ability to perform moderately complex math problems and understand budgets and financial reports.
  • Working knowledge of State and Federal Wage and Hour Laws.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
