About the position

The Business Office Manager at Thrive of Lake County is a part-time role within a skilled nursing facility, responsible for overseeing the office operations and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. This position plays a crucial role in the management team, reporting directly to the General Manager and Senior Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management. The ideal candidate will have experience in business office management within a skilled nursing environment and will be dedicated to providing compassionate services to residents while maintaining an efficient office workflow.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and contribute to facility leadership meetings and processes.
• Follow company policies and procedures to produce accurate revenue.
• Manage billing and follow up to ensure timely collections from private payers.
• Ensure adherence to all related federal and state rules and regulations.
• Track facility census information and send census on a daily basis.
• Complete admission contracts and prepare deposits.
• Enter data into Point Click Care (PCC) and complete census, payer builds, and payer verification in PCC.
• Review resident accounts and aging reports on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in Business Office Management in a skilled nursing environment.
• Extensive knowledge of Illinois Medicaid and Medicare regulations.
• RFMS experience is required.
• Strong multitasking, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Point Click Care software is preferred.
