About the position

The Business Office Manager at Thrive of Lake County is a part-time role focused on overseeing the administrative and financial operations of a skilled nursing facility. This position is integral to the management team, reporting directly to the General Manager and Senior Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management. The role emphasizes adherence to company policies, accurate revenue production, and compliance with federal and state regulations, while fostering a compassionate and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and contribute to facility leadership meetings and processes.
• Follow company policies and procedures to produce accurate revenue.
• Manage billing and follow up to ensure timely collections from private payers.
• Ensure adherence to all related federal and state rules and regulations.
• Track facility census information and send census on a daily basis.
• Complete admission contracts and prepare deposits.
• Enter data into Point Click Care (PCC).
• Review resident accounts and aging reports on an ongoing basis.
• Coordinate various support services and personnel to ensure smooth office operations.
• Manage critical deadlines with keen attention to detail.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Business Office Management in a skilled nursing environment.
• Extensive knowledge of Illinois Medicare, Medicaid, and Private Insurance.
• Experience with RFMS and Point Click Care software is preferred.
• Strong multitasking, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Experience in hospice care.
