The Business Office Manager (BOM) position at a skilled nursing facility in Northern Los Angeles County is designed for an experienced professional who will oversee the business office operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in billing processes. The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with a supportive team, and opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee business office operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.
  • Manage billing processes with a focus on accuracy and reducing bad debt.
  • Collaborate with the facility Administrator and team to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Lead a business office team, including two assistants, to achieve departmental goals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Office Manager in a skilled nursing facility (125-200+ beds).
  • Proven success in reducing bad debt to below 1%.
  • Ability to maintain Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) under 35 days.
  • Strong expertise in Medicare, Private Insurance, HMO, and Medi-Cal billing.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in office management for at least 2 years.
  • Familiarity with healthcare billing processes.
