About the position
The Business Office Manager at Tampa Lakes Health and Rehabilitation Center is responsible for overseeing all financial operations within the facility, including accounts payable, billing, accounts receivable, and collection activities. This role ensures compliance with financial regulations and aims to achieve cash collection and accounts receivable goals. The manager also supervises billing and collections personnel, handles payroll tasks, and collaborates with other department heads to maintain accurate financial records and promote a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable, billing, receivables, and collections, ensuring compliance and integrity of financial data.
- Supervise business office operations and personnel, maintaining accurate financial records, receipts, deposits, and reports.
- Handle payor interactions, collections, and ensure timely payment of claims.
- Manage census activities, month-end close, and reporting for billing and invoicing.
- Oversee timekeeping, payroll communication, and employee satisfaction related to time clock issues.
- Ensure safety, confidentiality, regulatory compliance, and promote a respectful, secure environment for residents and staff.
- Foster teamwork, cooperation, and tactful communication, while promoting positive relations with residents, families, and guests.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Basic Computer Competency
- Experience as a Business Office Manager or Medicaid Billing Specialist
- Strong Attention to detail and work ethic
- Experience/ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the public.
- Prior Long Term Care Experience
