About the position

The Business Office Manager at Rochester Manor + Villa is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the healthcare facility. This role involves ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations while achieving the facility's financial goals. The manager will lead the business office team, manage billing and collections, and maintain knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, guide, and direct the financial operations of the healthcare facility.
  • Manage billing, collections (A/R), accounts payable (A/P), and general ledger functions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to bed-hold notice requirements.
  • Utilize various software for billing and reporting, including facility A/R software.
  • Develop and monitor accounts receivables and report delinquent accounts to the Administrator.
  • Coordinate pre-admission financial evaluations with the Admissions Office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • At least three years of experience in a billing or supervisory capacity in a healthcare facility.
  • Knowledge of skilled nursing home regulations and guidelines.

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Adobe, and other electronic reporting formats.
