About the position

BoldAge PACE is excited to announce the opening of a new facility in North Charleston, SC, scheduled for September 2024. We are seeking a Business Operation Manager who will play a crucial role in our mission to deliver innovative and creative solutions for the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). This position is responsible for identifying, developing, implementing, monitoring, and managing financial and business-related processes that contribute to the successful operation and continued growth of the PACE organization. The Business Operation Manager will ensure that our model of care enables older adults to live meaningful, independent lives at home with dignity and grace. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in management and leadership, particularly within a healthcare setting. They will be tasked with maintaining a “people first” approach in all decision-making processes, strategic planning, and program practices. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of the managed care environment, including claims management and utilization trends, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders, including staff, participants, and vendors. The Business Operation Manager will also be responsible for establishing and promoting services that exceed expectations, fostering a culture of integrity and excellence within the organization. In addition to operational responsibilities, the Business Operation Manager will be expected to demonstrate creativity and innovation in developing systems and making decisions that enhance the overall effectiveness of the organization. This includes establishing and maintaining office systems related to administrative functions, reporting, and IT systems. The candidate must possess strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and the capability to work independently with minimal supervision. A keen interest in problem-solving and a willingness to embrace risk and open-ended situations are essential traits for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, implement, monitor, and manage financial and business-related processes for the PACE organization.
  • Ensure successful operation and support continued growth of the organization.

  • Organize, plan, and delegate responsibilities effectively.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Five years of experience in a management or leadership position in a business office or healthcare setting.
  • Minimum of one year working in a healthcare environment with a frail elderly population and their families.
  • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Ability to maintain a 'people first' approach in all decision-making processes.
  • Knowledge of managed care environment, including claims management and utilization trends.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare delivery and financing systems, including contracting and data analysis.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask under pressure.
