About the position

As a Business Operation Specialist at HOS Global Foods, you will play a crucial role in managing all supply chain activities at the distribution center level. This includes overseeing product life cycle management, maintaining enterprise assets, and ensuring the smooth operation of production lines and logistics. You will be responsible for developing and implementing logistics processes, managing freight, and coordinating the shipment of products to clients. Your role will also involve ensuring that all transportation of goods from the production site to clients is executed efficiently and in compliance with established standards and procedures. In this position, you will schedule the pick-up, delivery, and distribution of products and materials, forecast peak delivery periods, and plan the workforce accordingly. You will devise optimal routes for shipments, deploy truck drivers, and monitor the progress of major shipments to ensure timely receipt. Additionally, you will ensure that goods are stored properly and at the right temperature, maintain optimal inventory levels, and adhere to good manufacturing and food safety programs implemented by HOS Global Foods. Performing weekly cycle counts at the warehouse and ensuring the proper use of all tools and systems, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), will also be part of your responsibilities. You should have expert knowledge of warehouse management systems, including Navision, and be responsible for cycle counts and inventory management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all supply chain activities at the distribution center level.
  • Develop and implement logistics processes, freight management, and shipment of products.
  • Oversee all transportation of goods from production site to client.
  • Schedule pick-up, delivery, and distribution of products and materials.
  • Forecast peak delivery periods and workforce planning.
  • Devise routes for shipments and deploy truck drivers.

  • Ensure goods are stored properly and at the right temperature.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels and perform weekly cycle counts at the warehouse.
  • Follow good manufacturing and food safety programs implemented by HOS.
  • Ensure the proper use of all tools and systems (WMS).
  • Knowledge of warehouse management system FIFO and aging inventory.

Requirements

  • 3 or more years of experience in MS-Office Excel.
  • Knowledge and understanding of operational best practices, with a focus on manufacturing/distribution industry a plus.

Benefits

  • Base pay range of $54K - $80K per year.
