About the position

As a Business Operation Specialist at HOS Global Foods, you will play a crucial role in managing all supply chain activities at the distribution center level. This includes overseeing product life cycle management, maintaining enterprise assets, and ensuring the smooth operation of production lines and logistics. You will be responsible for developing and implementing logistics processes, managing freight, and coordinating the shipment of products to clients. Your expertise will ensure that all transportation of goods from the production site to the client is executed efficiently and effectively. In this position, you will ensure that proper standards and procedures are followed within the distribution center. This includes scheduling the pick-up, delivery, and distribution of products and materials, forecasting peak delivery periods, and planning the workforce accordingly. You will devise optimal routes for shipments, deploy truck drivers, and monitor the progress of major shipments to ensure timely receipt. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring that goods are stored properly and at the right temperature, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and adhering to good manufacturing and food safety programs implemented by HOS Global Foods. Your role will also involve performing weekly cycle counts at the warehouse and ensuring the proper use of all tools and systems, particularly the Warehouse Management System (WMS). A strong knowledge of warehouse management systems, including FIFO and aging inventory, is essential, as is expertise in systems like Navision. You will be responsible for cycle counts and inventory management, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 3 or more years of experience in MS-Office Excel.
  • Knowledge and understanding of operational best practices, with a focus on the manufacturing/distribution industry.
  • Expert knowledge of warehouse management systems including Navision.
