About the position

As a Business Operations Analyst at CBRE, you will play a crucial role in supporting the department's day-to-day operations and administrative functions. This position is integral to the Operations Management job function, where you will be responsible for coordinating various staff functions and operations that align with the organization's overarching goals and strategies. Your contributions will help streamline processes and enhance service delivery within the department. In this role, you will coordinate the preparation of budgets by researching and collecting input from multiple internal and external resources. You will review monthly department budget reports to maintain expense controls and prepare commentary and explanations of variances for management review. Additionally, you will troubleshoot and resolve basic inquiries and requests from both internal and external clients, ensuring that all concerns are addressed promptly and effectively. Your responsibilities will also include tracking department processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement. You will compile a variety of operating, financial, and statistical information reports, gathering data for periodic updates related to project resources and fiscal plans. Assisting with the development of project plans and costs will be part of your duties, which includes outlining personnel and fiscal requirements to achieve defined objectives. You will be expected to lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE's RISE values, and impacting the quality of your own work while adhering to standardized procedures and practices to meet objectives and deadlines. Effective communication will be key, as you will exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding with your colleagues and clients.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with up to 3 years of relevant experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
  • Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
  • Intermediate math skills, including the ability to calculate percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
