The Business Operations Analyst II will be engaged in a broad range of business operation activities in support of project development and construction activities throughout ENGIE North America's (ENA) portfolio of Grid Scale Renewables, which includes utility-scale wind, solar, and storage assets. This role is crucial in supporting ENA's Grid Scale Renewables Project Development, Project Delivery, and Commercial Strategy cross-functional teams, working closely with managers, directors, and vice presidents within these teams. In this position, the analyst will focus on establishing and maintaining various budget control processes, conducting accounting forensic analysis, and resolving issues related to project management controls using SAP and COUPA. The role involves routine CapEx budget reviews and reporting, where the analyst will work independently with various corporate functional support groups such as Accounting, AP, IT, FP&A, and Procurement to implement ongoing business operation processes and resolve identified issues. The analyst will assist in the formation and upkeep of SAP WBS projects/templates, ensuring the flow of information from SAP to grid scale renewables development and construction managers. They will analyze, assess, and report on Project Development/Construction CapEx and Operations/Maintenance OpEx spend data to ensure quality and accuracy. This includes executing forensic accounting tasks to identify outliers and collaborating with corporate Accounting/AP and Procurement to rectify errors. The analyst will routinely produce, assess, and distribute monthly project status reports, update and review budgets with managers, and highlight approaching budget constraints and risks to ensure proactive management. Additionally, the analyst will work with development, construction, and project managers to establish projects and full life cycle budgets in SAP, identify gaps and opportunities for improving existing processes, and develop and maintain documentation and process flows to define various business processes. They will also lead training and orientation efforts surrounding the use of legacy business systems/tools and the roll-out of new enterprise systems, coordinating these efforts with applicable corporate functional groups. The role requires facilitating and maintaining comprehensive documentation and process flows that delineate the operational procedures of the business units, providing support to Project Controllers by contributing to various initiatives aimed at budgeting, scheduling, and quality control to enhance business processes.
