About the position

The Business Operations Analyst role at CBRE involves providing day-to-day operations and administrative support within the Operations Management function. This position is focused on coordinating staff functions and operations to support the organization's goals and strategies, specifically at a client site in Chicago. The analyst will engage in budget preparation, expense control, and process improvement while ensuring effective communication and adherence to company values.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate budget preparation by researching and collecting input from various internal and external resources.
  • Review monthly department budget reports to maintain expense controls and prepare commentary on variances for management review.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic inquiries and requests from internal and external clients.
  • Track department processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improving service delivery.
  • Compile operating, financial, and statistical information reports, and gather information for periodic updates on project resources and fiscal plans.
  • Assist in developing project plans and costs, including personnel and fiscal requirements to achieve defined objectives.
  • Model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values and impact the quality of own work.
  • Work within standardized procedures to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with up to 3 years of relevant experience, or a combination of experience and education.
  • Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
  • Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
  • Intermediate math skills, including the ability to calculate percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
