About the position

The Business Operations Analyst position is a critical role within the Client's Global Markets Business Operations team, designed for a driven and strategic-minded individual. This remote position primarily caters to candidates in the Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone, with a secondary preference for those in Pacific Standard Time (PST). The role is structured as a 6-month contract under W2 terms, with a competitive pay rate ranging from $50.00 to $58.28 per hour. The successful candidate will report directly to the Senior Director of Global Markets Business Operations and Planning, playing a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency and strategic execution within the organization. In this role, the Business Operations Analyst will be responsible for establishing and owning the operational cadence and structure of meetings, metrics, and reporting. This includes tracking all execution items to ensure that high-priority projects and initiatives, such as Holiday execution, are delivered effectively. The analyst will also be tasked with streamlining the operations of the Markets business by creating and maintaining comprehensive playbooks that guide operational processes. A significant aspect of this position involves crunching data and performing strategic analysis that will inform leadership decisions and help set the strategic direction for the business. The analyst will synthesize data and insights into presentations that are ready for senior leadership, ensuring that complex information is communicated clearly and effectively. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for e-commerce and a background in retail or e-commerce, as well as experience in management consulting, strategy, business insights, or business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and own the operational cadence and structure of meetings, metrics, and reporting.
  • Assist with the delivery of high-priority projects and initiatives, including Holiday execution.
  • Streamline how the Markets business operates by creating and maintaining playbooks.
  • Crunch the data and perform strategic analysis for leadership to set strategic direction.
  • Synthesize data and learnings into senior-leadership ready presentations.

Requirements

  • 7-9 years of experience, preferably with Big 4 consulting.
  • Passion for e-commerce or past experience with retail or e-commerce.
  • Experience in management consulting, strategy, business insights, or business operations.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Highly experienced at creating PowerPoint decks and building a 'story' to facilitate discussions with senior leaders.
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and cross-functional communication, including executive communication.
  • Highly organized and eager to learn.
