About the position

The Business Operations Analyst for Starlink at SpaceX plays a crucial role in supporting the company's mission to provide advanced broadband internet through a large satellite constellation. This position focuses on data analytics, business planning, and strategic decision-making to enhance profit improvement and operational efficiency. The analyst will work closely with various teams to analyze performance metrics, guide resource management, and drive initiatives that align with SpaceX's long-term goals, including enabling human life on Mars.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze key performance indicators, including cost per unit, revenue, and operating expenses, and develop business models and decision-making tools.
  • Provide strategic insights and conclusions based on data analysis.
  • Guide planning and resource management for specific verticals within SpaceX.
  • Identify initiatives for improving SpaceX's business outlook and execute business initiatives with leadership.
  • Analyze the impact of proposed business decisions on SpaceX's health and performance.
  • Manage investments and planning for supply chain, sales, manufacturing, and engineering.
  • Track and report on profit improvement initiatives for existing products.
  • Support product development by establishing cost targets and guiding decisions towards these targets.
  • Evaluate major CapEx decisions and business cases on automation and manufacturing scope.
  • Drive cost and revenue optimization in product development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, product management, operations, FP&A consulting, banking, or entrepreneurship
  • 1+ years of Excel or programming experience
