About the position

The Business Operations Analyst for Starlink at SpaceX plays a crucial role in supporting the company's mission to enable human life on Mars through the development of advanced broadband internet systems. This position combines data analytics with business planning and strategy, directly assisting SpaceX's leadership in decision-making processes. The analyst will work across various subgroups, including supply chain, engineering, and sales, to analyze performance metrics and drive profit improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze key performance indicators, including cost per unit, revenue, and operating expenses.
  • Provide strategic insights and conclusions based on data analysis.
  • Guide planning and resource management for specific verticals within SpaceX.
  • Identify initiatives for improving SpaceX's business outlook and execute business initiatives with leadership.
  • Analyze the impact of proposed business decisions on SpaceX's health.
  • Manage investments and planning for supply chain, sales, and manufacturing.
  • Track and manage profit improvement initiatives on existing products.
  • Support product development by establishing cost targets and guiding decisions.
  • Evaluate major CapEx decisions and business cases.
  • Lead cost and revenue improvement initiatives for all products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, product management, operations, FP&A consulting, banking, or entrepreneurship
  • 1+ years of Excel or programming experience
