About the position

The Business Operations Analyst at The University of Toledo will support the daily operations of the business office, ensuring adherence to accounting and financial principles. This role involves maintaining financial records, streamlining processes, and providing excellent customer service to various stakeholders within the university.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supporting the day-to-day operations of the business office, including maintaining student tuition and fees rate tables, system upgrades, and daily cash processing.
• Streamline department business processes using new and existing technology while maintaining quality control.
• Develop, maintain, and provide process documentation to support day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with Federal and State regulations and university policies.
• Perform administrative duties and coordinate activities for annual Payment Card Industries (PCI) audits.
• Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, sponsors, and visitors, ensuring accurate and timely responses to inquiries.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or 2-3 years of comparable work experience, preferably in Business or Information Systems.
• Related work experience preferred in accounting, finance, or other relevant fields.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with a willingness to learn.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and produce high-quality work within established timeframes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and initiative-taking ability.
• Analytical reasoning and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and basic SQL and HTML.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with the Banner ERP system or similar ERP system at a public university related to student accounts.
