About the position

The Business Operations Analyst at Spotify plays a crucial role in the Business Operations Team, focusing on ensuring accurate and timely delivery reporting, identifying areas for improvement, and assisting with project management for the global sales support team. This position requires collaboration with various departments, including finance, sales, and sales operations, to enhance operational processes and support key initiatives that drive positive customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Report and assess weekly campaign performance for large executions and deals.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of campaign delivery to the Accounting team.
  • Analyze and review Insertion Orders and other sales agreements to ensure adherence to policies and contract terms.
  • Verify sales opportunities in Global CRM & Order Management System for completeness and alignment with delivery metrics.
  • Support special projects, system implementations, and improvements, as well as perform ad hoc analyses.
  • Develop operational processes that ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with key partners and assist in month-end close analysis.
  • Attend regular status meetings with cross-functional teams.
  • Support the execution of key improvement initiatives using data-driven insights to deliver positive customer outcomes.
  • Rigorously handle project scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed-upon parameters and deadlines.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience with ad operations, billing, contract management, and reviewing and analyzing sales orders and sales agreements.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance and Accounting.
  • Experience with growth companies in high technology, advertising sales, music, or entertainment industries.
  • Knowledge of SOX, billing, and local compliance.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle and self-manage involvement in multiple concurrent projects with varying priorities.
  • Proven comfort working in a highly dynamic environment, able to anticipate change and move projects quickly through the cycle to execution.
  • Experience working within CRMs, Order Management Systems, ad servers, and other digital media tech systems.
