About the position

The Business Operations Analyst at PayPal will play a crucial role in supporting the Consumer Engineering (CE) team by reporting directly to the Chief of Staff. This position involves a variety of responsibilities that are essential for the smooth operation of the CE Business Operations team. The analyst will be tasked with preparing and analyzing critical data sets, including Census, OKRs, KPIs, and Roadmaps, to ensure that reporting requirements are met accurately and timely. A significant part of the role will involve collaborating with engineering teams to maintain data hygiene, ensuring that all reporting is up to date and precise. In addition to data management, the Business Operations Analyst will assist in workforce and capacity planning for both full-time employees (FTEs) and contract workers. This includes supporting the BizOps team in creating, maintaining, and executing training programs, communications, and best practices for the organization. The analyst will also play a role in enhancing employee engagement efforts in partnership with the HR department, contributing to a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities while maintaining a high level of organization and focus. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze data such as Census, OKRs, KPIs, and Roadmaps.
  • Work with engineering teams to ensure data hygiene is maintained and reporting is accurate.
  • Assist with workforce planning and capacity planning for both FTEs and contract workers.
  • Support the BizOps team with the creation, maintenance, and execution of training, communications, and best practices for the organization.
  • Support Employee Engagement efforts in partnership with HR.
  • Lead or contribute to special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience in planning, business operations, or technical project management.
  • Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience with Workday and Fieldglass preferred.
  • High delivery focus with an emphasis on task ownership and completion.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to work effectively with all organization levels.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects with competing priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to change.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and to raise issues in a timely and constructive manner.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
