About the position

The Business Operations Analyst will support the Director of the ASC Undergraduate International Studies Program by managing various operational tasks, including budgeting, communications, and strategic planning. This role involves overseeing purchasing, maintaining program-related communications, and assisting with data analysis and recruitment events.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director in the operations of the ASC Undergraduate International Studies Program.
  • Initiate spend authorizations and confer on budgeting with the unit's fiscal officer.
  • Oversee purchasing of equipment and supplies.
  • Create and maintain communications about the program, including major & minor options, courses, events, and scholarships.
  • Maintain the program's website, social media presence, listservs, monthly newsletter, digital displays, and course flyers.
  • Assist with strategic planning and data analysis.
  • Help the Director with curricular proposals and strategies for managing majors and minors.
  • Assemble and interpret data on enrollment, credit-hour production, and post-education outcomes.
  • Maintain contact with alumni and internship agencies, and assist with professionalization events for students.
  • Assist with recruitment events, including one or two per year that may occur outside of normal business hours.
  • Serve as the UISP office manager.
  • Supervise and train one office staff member.
  • Manage inventory and office supplies/equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 2 years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience in unit programming, outreach to and engagement with students, alumni, faculty, and donors.

  • Knowledge of university policies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with the role of UISP in the university.
  • Skills and enthusiasm for outreach and engagement.
  • Experience working on a team, including overseeing workers and collective visioning/strategic planning.
