About the position

The Business Operations Analyst at Stanford Health Care plays a crucial role in supporting Program Managers on high-profile projects aimed at enhancing the hospital's strategic goals and operational efficiencies. This position involves conducting complex quantitative and qualitative analyses, documenting current and future state business processes, managing project logistics, and monitoring the success of project goals. The analyst will be responsible for analyzing data throughout the project lifecycle, developing data collection strategies, and coordinating logistical support, including meeting setups and training for frontline staff on workflow changes and new technologies. Additionally, the analyst will partner with vendors to ensure timely completion of key deliverables. The role requires the creation and maintenance of data dashboards and PowerPoint presentations that provide up-to-date results of project progress for project managers, team members, and VP sponsors. The analyst will also create process maps to illustrate current and future state workflows, maintain established reporting structures, and project metrics to ensure sustained project results. As a resource for identifying best practices and benchmarking data, the analyst will engage in brainstorming sessions with managers throughout the project and train operational staff to utilize data tools effectively. Supporting project teams in structuring work and maintaining timelines and key deliverables is also a critical aspect of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes quantitative and qualitative data throughout the project lifecycle, including developing data collection strategies.
  • Coordinates and prepares logistic support for projects, including meeting setups and material compilation.
  • Trains frontline staff on workflow changes and new technology.
  • Partners with vendors to ensure timely completion of key deliverables.

  • Identifies and researches best practices and benchmarking data for healthcare-related topics.

  • Supports project teams in structuring work and maintaining timelines and key deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university.
  • Two (2) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
  • Ability to adapt to and deal with change and ambiguity.
  • Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and interpret results.
  • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, work independently, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to speak and write effectively at a level appropriate for the job.
  • Ability to work effectively both as a team player and independent contributor.
