About the position

The Business Operations Coordinator role at MITRE focuses on supporting the Globally Contested Logistics and Supply Chain department. This entry-level position is designed for individuals who will help communicate the value of MITRE's technical work, offer creative business solutions, and contribute to departmental growth. The coordinator will work closely with leadership and technical teams to manage projects, track financial execution, and create visual materials that simplify complex information for a broad audience.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across geographically dispersed technical teams to manage programs and track financial execution.
  • Create high-quality visual materials using Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Assist Project Leaders with crafting internal and external messaging.
  • Manage the schedule, budget, and details of various projects associated with Logistics in a Contested Environment.
  • Simplify complex information to enhance user experience and effective storytelling.
  • Plan and execute collaboration sessions to drive high-impact outcomes for various customers.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, or related field and at least 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and executing internal/external events across geographically dispersed teams.
  • Ability to organize and manage complex projects or programs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to foster positive collaboration across geographic boundaries.
  • Excellent visual, verbal, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS).
  • Successful track record of increasing impact through visual depictions, user experience design, and branding.
  • Strong self-starter who can work independently with a willingness to engage with diverse teams.
  • Ability to develop, articulate, and translate complex technical ideas into meaningful products.
