About the position

Localize is seeking a Business Operations Coordinator to join our US-based remote team. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth day-to-day business operations and providing administrative support to the management team. As a Business Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for offering comprehensive assistance to key leadership members, allowing them to focus on their primary responsibilities and maximize their effectiveness. We are looking for a detail-oriented go-getter who enjoys taking on a wide variety of Back Office, Administrative, and People Operations duties to support our growing technology company. The ideal candidate is a business professional who is organized, process-oriented, and extremely reliable. Responsibilities

  • Manage subscription billing and accounts receivables; create and send invoices and follow up to ensure payment.
  • Oversee financial data and compliance by recording and maintaining accurate financial entries and balancing transactions.
  • Reconcile deferred revenue accounts and ensure accounting processes closely follow GAAP standards.
  • Responsible for new vendor onboarding and other compliance tasks.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and conclusion of SOC2 and ISO 27001 compliance audits.
  • Manage compliance calendars and schedules.
  • Work closely with functional department heads to ensure smooth operations.
  • Oversee planning and execution of key projects and initiatives.
  • Maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality regarding company financial, compensation, and investor relations information.
  • Provide administrative assistance to executive staff, including making travel arrangements, booking appointments, writing communications, and preparing spreadsheets and presentations.
  • Coordinate new employee onboarding, maintain employee handbooks, and ensure overall compliance.
  • Enhance remote team culture and promote employee engagement through creative appreciation activities.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional work experience in a Back Office or People Ops role, ideally in a fast-paced technology or software industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • Background in bookkeeping, accounting, and human resources is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency using G Suite, Google Apps, MS Word, and Excel with the ability to learn additional applications as needed.
  • Highly organized and process-oriented with strong attention to detail.
  • Skilled at cross-departmental project management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in Maxio (or similar financial operations platform).
  • Experience managing compliance programs such as SOC 2 Type 2 or ISO 27001.
  • Experience in offsite event planning.
