About the position

The Business Operations Coordinator at RealFood, a premier hospitality strategy and design firm under the Troon family of brands, is a dynamic role based in the Northeast Regional Office in Newton, MA. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to engage in various aspects of the business, contributing to a range of projects and tasks that support both local and corporate teams. The coordinator will play a pivotal role in interacting with employees, clients, prospects, and partners, thereby facilitating both internal and external company initiatives. In this role, you will be the face of the office, responsible for maintaining and managing the needs of the office and the team. You will support company events, initiatives, and various administrative tasks that are crucial for the smooth operation of the business. Additionally, you will assist the Food & Beverage teams by creating, maintaining, and improving internal and external documents, ensuring that project leaders have the necessary administrative support to achieve project success. This position also involves learning about food and beverage operations, allowing you to contribute effectively as an additional resource on projects. Moreover, the Business Operations Coordinator will support company leadership by undertaking unique research projects aimed at improving company operations. Utilizing company software, you will help keep leadership organized and prepared for meetings and strategic discussions. This multifaceted role requires a genuine passion for hospitality, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team member.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the face of the office and maintain office and team needs.
  • Support with company events, initiatives, and administrative tasks.
  • Assist with the creation, maintenance, and improvement of internal and external documents for the Food & Beverage teams.
  • Support project leaders with administrative tasks to ensure project success.
  • Learn about food and beverage operations and act as another set of eyes/hands/ears on projects.
  • Undertake unique research projects in support of company improvement.
  • Utilize company software to keep Leadership organized and prepared.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; a combination of practical experience and education will be considered as an alternative.
  • Fluent in English speaking, writing, and comprehension.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Experience with social media management (writing content, creating imagery, etc.) is a plus.
  • Proficiency with design software (Canva, InDesign, etc.) is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Hospitality front of house or back of house experience is a plus.
