About the position

Astound Broadband, the sixth-largest telecommunications provider in the United States, is seeking a Business Operations Coordinator to join our Business Solutions Sales Operations organization. This remote position can be based near any of our main west coast markets, including the Bay Area and Sacramento, CA; Portland and Woodburn, OR; and Greater Seattle and Bothell, WA. The mission of our Sales Operations team is to provide essential support services for the National Sales team, focusing on billing, project, and vendor management. This role is pivotal in developing workflow continuity with our boundary partners to establish efficiencies and improve communication, ultimately minimizing duplication of efforts. In this position, you will be responsible for managing customer billing inquiries and disputes, ensuring timely responses and maintaining contact until resolution. You will also perform statement audits and participate in monthly VIP billing meetings to proactively address issues. Additionally, you will handle past due and collections management, working closely with boundary partners to resolve customer issues impacting their accounts. Your role will also involve conducting monthly account audits to identify billing errors and opportunities for account consolidation. As a Business Operations Coordinator, you will assist with vendor management, including invoice review and onboarding processes. This position requires strong organizational, project management, and communication skills, as you will be interacting with various levels within the organization. Responsibilities

  • Manage customer billing inquiries and disputes, ensuring timely responses and maintaining contact until resolution.
  • Track and manage customer disputes using personalized spreadsheets, proactively building relationships to resolve issues before they escalate.
  • Perform statement audits and participate in monthly VIP billing meetings to proactively resolve billing issues.
  • Resolve customer issues impacting past due accounts, updating billing details and invoice preferences as necessary.
  • Conduct monthly account audits to identify billing errors and opportunities for account consolidation and balance reconciliation.
  • Assist with vendor management, including invoice review and onboarding processes, ensuring compliance with invoice requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1 - 3 years of accounting experience in the telecommunications industry with experience in customer management.
  • Knowledge of Billing and CRM platforms required; ICOMS and Sugar CRM preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Google and/or Microsoft software including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and process improvement skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively at all levels within the organization.
  • Professional business acumen in reporting and database use.
  • Ability to learn and retain new information quickly, including operational understanding of telecommunications ordering/provisioning and billing/accounting processes.

Nice-to-haves
