About the position

The Business Operations Coordinator at Bay City Boiler is responsible for supporting and streamlining various operational areas within the organization. This role focuses on employee onboarding, fleet management, property oversight, IT coordination, and uniform management. The coordinator will also supervise the Operations Assistant, ensuring effective collaboration and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and work closely with multiple teams to enhance operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and access to necessary resources.
• Oversee company fleet vehicles, including scheduling maintenance and managing documentation.
• Support property management efforts by overseeing maintenance and improvements in company facilities.
• Serve as a point of contact for IT needs, coordinating equipment setups and troubleshooting issues.
• Oversee the ordering, distribution, and maintenance of employee uniforms.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to the Operations Assistant to support operational efficiency.
• Assist the Director of Operations and President with special projects or additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or a similar role.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with project management tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot IT and equipment issues, with a high level of problem-solving aptitude.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with fleet and property management systems is a plus.
• Supervisor experience of 1 year (Preferred).
