About the position

Leidos' Global Supply Chain is seeking a Business Operations Director to provide direct support to the Chief Supply Chain Officer in executing organization-wide strategic and operational initiatives. This role is pivotal in leading innovative projects and fostering interactions with business and functional leaders across the Leidos Enterprise organization. Success in this position will hinge on the ability to quickly establish partnerships and adapt to various situations within the Global Supply Chain organization and other enterprise groups. The Business Operations Director will be responsible for developing a formal cadence for all Global Supply Chain activities, ensuring timely planning and support of key priorities, meeting attendance, and deliverables. This includes organizing quarterly global supply chain operations business reviews and functional scorecards that encompass financials, metrics, and actionable data. The role also involves coordinating the consolidation and execution of strategic initiatives, guiding them to completion, and streamlining the organizational cadence to respond swiftly to the needs of the organization. In addition, the Director will act as the primary contact for Corporate and Sector requests, coordinating group events such as conferences, off-sites, and all-hands meetings. Drafting and coordinating executive briefing materials for strategic GSC meetings, as well as materials for executive leadership, will also be a key responsibility. Building and maintaining relationships with executive-level staff and GSC stakeholders is essential to keep communication lines open and informed. The role requires extensive interaction with senior management, often in situations that demand discretion. The Director will also carry out and support other operational objectives as assigned by the Chief Supply Chain Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a formal cadence for all Global Supply Chain activities to ensure timely planning and support of key priorities, meeting attendance and deliverables.
  • Develop and hold quarterly global supply chain operations business reviews and functional scorecards including financials, metrics and actionable data.
  • Coordinate the consolidation and execution of strategic initiatives and guiding them to completion.
  • Streamline and standardize the organizational cadence to quickly respond to the organizational needs.
  • Act as primary contact for Corporate and Sector requests to support the organization.
  • Coordinate group events such as conferences, off-sites & all-hands.
  • Draft and coordinate executive briefing materials for strategic GSC meetings as well as materials briefed to executive leadership.
  • Develop relationships with executive-level staff and GSC stakeholders to keep communication lines open and informed.
  • Interface extensively with senior management, including interactions that may involve situations which require discretion.
  • Carry out and support other operational objectives as assigned by the Chief Supply Chain Officer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited university required
  • 15+ years of relevant experience and leadership responsibilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a knack for productive collaboration across varying functional and operational departments
  • Detail oriented and data driven
  • Ability to analyze and compile large swaths of data and present effective reports
  • Strong analytical, creativity, and problem solving skills
  • Proactive thinker and strong time management skills
  • Leadership skills to develop, organize and motivate teams to perform highly effectively and efficiently
  • Impeccable time management and multi-tasking skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
