About the position

The Business Operations Intern - Business Insurance role at Marsh McLennan Agency offers a comprehensive internship program designed to provide real-world experience in business, risk management, and insurance. Interns will engage in project work, client interactions, and develop professional skills essential for a career in the insurance industry. The internship aims to build a solid foundation for future careers in Client Management or Sales within the insurance sector.

Responsibilities

• Follow core written or verbal instructions and work independently on increasingly complex projects, proactively asking questions where needed.
• Utilize written documentation and video tutorials to acquire knowledge to perform job functions in MS Office (especially Excel), Agency Management Software, reporting tools and other applications.
• Assist with identifying and correcting data issues in company systems.
• Process changes and enter data into company systems.
• Run reports and communicate with colleagues to make required corrections.
• Assist with data projects and tasks that arise in the course of the transition to the EPIC agency management system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's / Master's degree (or working toward degree) in related field required.
• Must be detailed with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to effectively build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, management and peers.
• Proficiency in MS office applications required; specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
