About the position
The Business Operations Intern position at Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) offers a unique opportunity for students to gain real-world experience in business, risk management, and insurance. This internship is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical application, allowing interns to engage in project work and client interactions. Interns will develop essential professional skills and gain insights into various areas of the insurance industry, setting the stage for potential full-time careers in Client Management or Sales pathways.
Responsibilities
- Follow core written or verbal instructions and work independently on increasingly complex projects, proactively asking questions where needed.
- Utilize written documentation and video tutorials to acquire knowledge to perform job functions in MS Office (especially Excel), Agency Management Software, reporting tools and other applications.
- Assist with identifying and correcting data issues in company systems.
- Process changes and enter data into company systems.
- Run reports and communicate with colleagues to make required corrections.
- Assist with data projects and tasks that arise in the course of the transition to the EPIC agency management system.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's / Master's degree (or working toward degree) in related field required.
- Must be detailed with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to effectively build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, management and peers.
- Proficiency in MS office applications required; specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
