About the position

The Business Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial and operational success of the Advanced Delivery Program (ADP) within the Advanced Delivery Unit (ADU). This position involves supporting the Vice President of Business Operations for Cardiovascular Medicine and the Perinatal Advanced Delivery Program by utilizing software tools to generate, analyze, and report on various financial and operational data. The role requires collaboration with departmental staff to prepare budgets, develop capital equipment plans, and create regular financial reports, while also engaging in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Vice President of Business Operations for Cardiovascular Medicine and Perinatal Advanced Delivery Program.
  • Generate, analyze, and report on financial, contractual, utilization, and operational data.
  • Prepare statistical reports for the Advanced Delivery Unit (ADU).
  • Collaborate with departmental staff to create operating and capital budgets.
  • Develop a five-year capital equipment plan for the ADU.
  • Create regular financial and performance reports, statements, and dashboards.
  • Conduct financial performance analyses of contracts, programs, partnerships, and services.
  • Present timely reports to leadership in user-friendly terms.
  • Participate in meetings with Department/Institutional leaders to engage in data-driven discussions.
  • Provide cost accounting reports as requested for defined populations or procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement initiatives within the Unit.
  • Manage expenses and collaborate with materials management to improve supply chain operations.
  • Identify root causes of expense variances and develop countermeasures.
  • Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical administration to review financial and operational data.
  • Ensure efficient use of resources such as equipment and space.
  • Work with financial innovation teams to develop time-driven activity-based cost accounting tools.
  • Support revenue cycle personnel to ensure claims are paid appropriately.
  • Ensure compliance with Nemours policies, legal and regulatory requirements, and GAAP.
  • Perform support tasks including creating new accounting units and approving invoices.
  • Lead data literacy and financial literacy initiatives throughout the Delaware Valley.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Business; MBA preferred.
  • 3-5 years of job-related experience required.
  • Strong preference for healthcare experience in financial data mining, reporting, and analysis.
