About the position

The Business Operations Manager for the Advanced Delivery Unit (ADU) is responsible for ensuring the financial and operational success of the Advanced Delivery Program (ADP). This role involves generating, analyzing, and reporting on various financial and operational data to support the Vice President of Business Operations and other leaders within the organization. The position requires a strong understanding of financial accounting concepts and the ability to communicate complex data in a user-friendly manner to drive decision-making and operational improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Support all business aspects of the Advanced Delivery Unit using software tools to generate, analyze, and report on financial, contractual, utilization, and operational data.
  • Prepare statistical reports for the ADU and collaborate with departmental staff to create operating and capital budgets.
  • Develop a five-year capital equipment plan for the ADU.
  • Create regular financial and performance reports, statements, and dashboards as requested.
  • Conduct financial performance analyses of new and existing contracts, programs, partnerships, and services.
  • Present timely financial reports to leadership in an actionable format.
  • Engage in meetings with leaders to discuss data and metrics, driving understanding and dialogue.
  • Identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement initiatives within the Unit based on data analysis.
  • Manage expenses and collaborate with materials management to improve supply chain operations.
  • Identify root causes of expense variances and develop countermeasures to resolve them.
  • Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical administration to review financial and operational data and provide education as necessary.
  • Ensure efficient use of resources such as equipment and space.
  • Work with financial innovation teams to develop time-driven activity-based cost accounting tools.
  • Support revenue cycle personnel to ensure claims are paid appropriately by insurance and patients.
  • Ensure compliance with Nemours policies, legal and regulatory requirements, and GAAP.
  • Perform various support tasks including creating new accounting units, approving invoices, and managing schedules.
  • Lead data literacy and financial literacy initiatives throughout the Delaware Valley.
  • Teach Associates how to use data analysis apps and understand data-driven decision making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Business; MBA preferred.
  • 3-5 years of job-related experience required.
  • Strong preference for healthcare experience in financial data mining, reporting, and analysis.
