About the position

The Business Operations Manager at the College of Business, University of Texas at San Antonio, is responsible for overseeing the administrative operations of the Dean's Office. This role involves managing business and clerical activities, coordinating administrative functions, and ensuring compliance with university policies. Responsibilities

  • Plan, administer, and manage business and clerical activities for the Dean's Office.
  • Coordinate administrative operations within the College, focusing on the Dean's Office.
  • Act as the primary receptionist for the Dean's Office.
  • Manage facilities work orders and projects related to building maintenance and renovations.
  • Maintain updated space inventory and produce floorplans.
  • Assist with onboarding of ACOB staff and faculty, including space assignments and equipment needs.
  • Manage room reservations for four conference rooms in the college.
  • Oversee all purchasing activities, including vendor research and preparation of purchase requisitions.
  • Supervise student associates and provide guidance as needed.
  • Participate in the development and submission of strategic and operational planning documents and reports.
  • Identify internal controls and develop mechanisms to monitor compliance with policies.
  • Schedule meetings and interviews as required.
  • Promote safety and environmental protection by reporting unsafe situations and participating in safety training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Six years of progressively responsible financial and business managerial experience in a complex office environment.
  • Minimum of three years of supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency with standard office equipment.
