About the position

The Business Operations Manager for the AWS Enterprise Support Field Operations team is a pivotal role responsible for driving operational excellence and strategic initiatives within the organization. This position requires a dynamic leader with a strong operational background who can effectively manage business operations across a broad sector. The successful candidate will partner closely with Enterprise Support leadership to oversee operating margins, analyze business trends, and enhance field team efficiency while ensuring a top-tier customer and employee experience. In this role, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that encompass both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic planning. You will maintain data integrity, drive initiatives that align with organizational strategy, and lead the development of hiring models. The Business Operations Manager will also be responsible for defining and leading business performance inspection mechanisms, managing escalations, and addressing operational concerns as they arise. Your ability to think strategically while acting tactically will be crucial in this position, as will your strong analytical skills and effective communication abilities. The role demands a proactive approach to operational optimization and efficiency, ensuring that both customer and employee experiences are prioritized. You will be expected to track performance metrics, educate stakeholders on strategic and operational metrics, and demonstrate how operational decisions can influence customer satisfaction. This position also requires the candidate to hold an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph, reflecting the sensitive nature of the work involved.

Responsibilities

  • Own P&L in partnership with Line of Business leadership: plan, forecast, and execute on the monthly, quarterly, yearly objectives
  • Act as Single Point of Contact for the Line of Business
  • Drive operational optimization and efficiency while maintaining the ideal customer and employee experience
  • Define and lead business performance inspection mechanisms. Own escalations and raise operational concerns
  • Ideate and lead initiatives focused on driving business performance, efficiency, and effectiveness of field teams
  • Drive strategic planning for one or many areas supported by the Field Operations team
  • Own communication with business stakeholders, finance, and recruiting regarding planning and execution within scope
  • Define and lead area's rhythm of business
  • Drive business performance by tracking performance and attainment of objectives and goals
  • Define and continuously drive education of strategic and operational metrics and showcase how operational decisions can impact customer experience.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Microsoft Excel experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience developing and implementing systems/tools utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, Salesforce automation, etc.
  • Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
