About the position

The Business Operations Manager for Global Services S&O at AWS is responsible for managing and scaling operational support for a rapidly growing portfolio of work across multinational enterprises. This role focuses on operational excellence, strategic guidance, and data-driven insights to optimize business impact on behalf of customers. The successful candidate will analyze initiatives and processes, provide recommendations for improvement, and ensure leadership has the necessary information to operate efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic guidance to Practice Leaders, bringing deep knowledge of business operations best practices.
  • Provide data-driven insights on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and standardized business metrics.
  • Manage dashboards, reports and executive review documents, providing insights and partnership with leaders.
  • Lead and review the end-to-end execution of the annual planning process including headcount, utilization, and goal planning.
  • Develop and manage annual and multi-year meeting cadence to drive business planning.
  • Manage the preparation, agenda, and follow-up actions to complete forward-looking business plans.
  • Anticipate the needs of the business and proactively develop new plans as needed.
  • Conduct opportunity pipeline analysis and forecast demand by specialty.
  • Partner with leadership to drive business continuity and unblock teams when required.
  • Support Practice Managers in maximizing available capacity to staff customer engagements.
  • Act as a business partner to Global Services Security leadership team, providing insights to shape business strategy.
  • Provide support to a diverse and geographically dispersed team of Global Services Security resources.
  • Establish business rhythm and cadence, leading meetings through deliverables, outcomes, and actions.
  • Collaborate with leadership to track and report all key performance indicators against goals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Microsoft Excel experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
  • Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent

  • 5+ years of finance, business management and sales operations experience
