About the position

The Business Operations Manager for Global Services S&O at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is responsible for managing and scaling operational support for a diverse portfolio of work across multinational enterprises. This role focuses on operational excellence, strategic guidance, and data-driven insights to optimize business processes and enhance customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will work closely with leadership to analyze initiatives, provide recommendations for improvement, and ensure efficient execution of business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic guidance to Practice Leaders, bringing deep knowledge of business operations best practices.
  • Provide data-driven insights on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and standardized business metrics.
  • Manage dashboards, reports and executive review documents, providing insights and partnership with our leaders to help look around the corner and plan for the future.
  • Lead and review the end-to-end execution of annual planning process to include headcount, utilization, and goal planning.
  • Develop and manage annual and multi-year meeting cadence to drive business planning.
  • Manage the preparation, agenda, and follow-up actions to complete forward looking business plans.
  • Anticipate the needs of your business and proactively develop new plans as needed.
  • Establish baseline metrics/reports to support the development of new practices and goals, as necessary.
  • Conduct opportunity pipeline analysis and work with leadership to forecast demand by specialty.
  • Partner with leadership to drive business continuity, unblocking teams when required.
  • Support Practice Managers in maximizing available capacity to staff customer engagements.
  • Act as a business partner to Global Services Security leadership team and executives, providing insights to help shape the strategy of the business.
  • Provide support to a diverse and geographically dispersed team of Global Services Security resources.
  • Act as point of contact and subject matter expert on the business, providing guidance and serving as a secondary escalation point.
  • Establish business rhythm and cadence, leading meetings through deliverables, outcomes and actions.
  • Establish baseline metrics and analytics, collaborating with leadership team to track and report all key performance indicators against goals.
  • Cross collaborate with technical and non-technical departments to drive innovation in processes and tools.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Microsoft Excel experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
  • Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent
