About the position

The Business Operations Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end operations of the North Central market, inclusive of client accounts in Minnesota, Western Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, North and South Dakota. Our primary office hub is in downtown Minneapolis. This role reports directly to the Central Region Business Operations Lead and will take direction from the North Central Chief of Staff and General Manager. The Business Operations team supports sales, portfolio, account, and engagement leaders, bringing efficiency to internal functions and enabling consultants to focus their time on clients.

Responsibilities

  • Owns the prioritization and delivery of all business operations priorities for the market
  • Identifies pain points and areas for improvement working with their manager and the local team to propose solutions
  • Assist pursuit leads in maintaining sales, opportunity, and staffing data in our systems
  • Facilitate deal review process and governance
  • Support account planning processes
  • Facilitate account onboarding for diamond accounts (background checks, client credentials, equipment, etc.)
  • Monitor engagement financials and partner with delivery teams to mitigate risks
  • Validate and reconcile consultant time entry
  • Provide metrics and reporting to support account, industry, and market leaders in understanding the health of their business - including development of insights and recommendations based on that data
  • Act as a liaison to the Engagement Management Office and other global services teams to research complex questions and troubleshoot issues
  • Champion global initiatives and provide process support for the business
  • Maintain operational excellence and advance operational maturity in your market/portfolio
  • Participate in occasional global initiatives
  • Actively mentor and coach direct reports

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years professional work experience
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Financial aptitude
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Exceptional analysis skills and ability to translate information to insight
  • Experience with Microsoft technologies, including Excel, and ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Process design and improvement experience
