About the position

The Business Operations Manager for Intelligent Grid Solutions at TRC Companies, Inc. is responsible for supporting the rapid expansion and scaling of the business unit. This role requires strong financial acumen, executive presentation skills, and an operational mindset, reporting directly to the COO. The manager will monitor operational metrics, drive budgeting processes, support strategic initiatives, manage knowledge systems, and foster a culture of teamwork and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze operational metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive the annual budgeting process and work closely with P&L Leads to develop accurate and realistic financial plans.
  • Collaborate with Practice Leads, Sales Operations & Commercial Operations to support strategic planning and decision-making related to growth investments, pipeline management, and pricing.
  • Manage and organize knowledge management systems (Teams, SharePoint, etc.), creating workflows to keep them current.
  • Support commercial due diligence efforts, including financial case development, and oversee project management of integration activities.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement within the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in investing, consulting or operational planning and support
  • Ability to work standard hours during Central or Eastern time

Nice-to-haves

  • Technical expertise with Microsoft suite: SharePoint, Teams, Power BI
  • Previous experience managing direct reports
  • Previous experience with M&A
