About the position

The Business Operations Manager for SoFi's Invest product plays a crucial role in driving strategic planning, providing business-critical insights, and executing cross-functional initiatives. This position involves collaborating with various teams to support high-impact strategic projects, data analysis, and process optimization, ultimately contributing to the overall success of the Invest product.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual/quarterly planning and collaborate with leaders to set business priorities and goals
• Define OKRs and critical KPIs for Invest, manage business performance with OKR tracking, and report the progress of OKRs to the business
• Own the creation, iteration, and ongoing optimization of recurring business forums (e.g., weekly Invest team meeting)
• Drive process optimization and standardization by identifying and improving operating inefficiencies
• Support the Business Unit Leader (BUL) in risk management initiatives
• Drive ad-hoc activities as requested by Business Unit Leader or Group Business Unit Leader
• Collaborate with the Data Science team to produce data-driven insights and recommendations
• Run after projects such as business cases, competitive analysis, industry trends, cross-functional initiatives and alignment with stakeholders
• Support CEO initiatives (e.g., Board member orientation, CEO offsite narrative)

Requirements

• 5+ years of work experience in a top-tier consulting firm, consumer financial services or high growth business in an analytical capacity
• Familiarity with financial services and/or consumer technology companies in private and/or public sector
• Hands on operational capabilities with advanced proficiency in Google suite, MS Office apps, etc.
• Strong data analytics and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Inquisitive nature, attention to detail, diligence and a good attitude
• Excellent time and project management skills with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships
• Comfort working in a high growth, constantly changing environment

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the online brokerage, wealth management, online investing, or a closely related business
• Data Mining skills (SQL, Python)
