The Lundquist Center for Entrepreneurship, part of the Lundquist College of Business, is seeking a Business Operations Manager to join its dynamic team. This position is pivotal in shaping the financial, operational, and strategic initiatives of the center, which is renowned for its commitment to educating and empowering future entrepreneurs. As the primary administrative officer, the Business Operations Manager will oversee essential functions such as budgeting, project management, event management, and the supervision of a dedicated team of student employees. In this influential role, the Business Operations Manager will exercise broad responsibility and independent decision-making authority. Key responsibilities include financial forecasting and projections, aligning the unit's business operations with university guidelines, and collaborating closely with the Director to drive the unit's success. The position also involves strategy and design, communications and marketing, and systems and coordination management. The successful candidate will be a key connection between LCE leadership, the Dean's Office, and the University, playing a vital role in the realization of the center's goals and objectives. Responsibilities

  • Oversee budgeting and financial forecasting for the Lundquist Center for Entrepreneurship.
  • Manage project and event management functions, ensuring successful execution of initiatives.
  • Supervise a dedicated team of student employees, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Align business operations with university guidelines and strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with the Director to drive the success of the center's initiatives.
  • Coordinate communications and marketing efforts to promote the center's mission.
  • Implement systems and processes for efficient operational management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent career experience in business, entrepreneurship, or a related field.
  • Two years of supervisory experience of two or more employees, or an equivalent combination of lead work experience and/or supervision training.
  • Three years of experience in three of the following areas: event management, project management, systems and coordination support, strategy and design, communications and marketing, and relationship management.
