About the position

The Business Operations Manager at Oregon Specialty Group plays a crucial role in overseeing the operations of new patient coordination, scheduling, service line coordinators, and prior authorization. This position is essential for ensuring that patients receive timely care and support, while also providing leadership and development to the operational teams. The manager will be responsible for creating a positive work environment that fosters staff success and enhances the patient experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership for new patient coordinators, service line coordinators, prior authorization, and scheduling teams.
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings with direct reports to provide feedback, coaching, and professional development.
  • Ensure the team has the necessary tools, knowledge, and work environment to succeed in their roles.
  • Support direct reports in their supervisory and front-line capacities.
  • Interview, hire, and train an effective workforce aligned with OSG cultural norms.
  • Collaborate with direct reports to support compliance and business support functions and projects.
  • Develop and perform audits to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Coordinate day-to-day operations of the teams to ensure efficient workflows and excellent customer service.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain office policies and procedures relating to operational workflows.
  • Ensure patient satisfaction by troubleshooting complaints and developing process improvements.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, labor laws, and other regulations.
  • Develop KPIs for teams and work towards creating efficient, patient-first outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences, Social Work, Nursing, or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in a healthcare business setting.
  • Excellent critical thinking and multitasking abilities under pressure.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with administrative processes such as prior authorization and patient care coordination.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Health Sciences, Social Work, or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Ability to connect with patients and explain business functions clearly.
