About the position

The Business Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing various operational tasks within a small business environment. This role requires strong management skills, adaptability, and the ability to handle both planned and unplanned priorities. The manager will ensure efficient office operations, maintain customer relations, manage financial records, and oversee property management tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual tasks related to office operations.
  • Monitor inventory of office supplies and manage service providers for efficiency.
  • Use office software platforms and troubleshoot issues as necessary.
  • Improve best practices and operational management systems.
  • Ensure the cleanliness, security, and functionality of facilities and equipment.
  • Input data accurately and maintain organized digital files.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers and vendors.
  • Record financial data using QuickBooks and Quicken, and conduct internal reviews of financial statements.
  • Analyze financial reports and budgets using Excel and other tools.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial statements and payroll reporting.
  • Create and monitor repair and maintenance schedules for properties.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in similar office environments and responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Quicken, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Skilled in administering office software and troubleshooting issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in property management.
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and financial management.
