About the position

The Business Operations Manager within the Workplace Experience + Law Enforcement Group at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco is responsible for leading a team that supports various complex operational areas. This role requires a proven leader who can influence multiple departments, communicate effectively, and develop talent. The position emphasizes sound judgment, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a critical leadership capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for the successful development and administration of the Group's budget, compensation, contract and procurement administration.
  • Manage the Group's information management and business continuity programs.
  • Oversee communications to ensure alignment with the Group and Bank's strategy.
  • Oversee the workforce management program to ensure effective hiring practices across the Group.
  • Advise the leadership team in identifying, developing, and executing strategic plans to achieve business goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine priorities, challenges, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Identify and implement innovative processes to support the Group.
  • Develop and implement processes and policies to achieve business goals.
  • Lead, coach, motivate, and develop a diverse team of professionals, supporting their ongoing development and career conversations.
  • Connect team members to Bank and Group strategy, ensuring alignment of team goals with organizational objectives.
  • Build relationships and influence individuals at all levels within the organization and with external vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to functional areas of responsibility or Business Management; Master's degree desirable.
  • 5+ years of experience in successfully managing and leading teams.
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Understanding of business strategy and finance practices including expense and capital forecasting and financial planning.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills, with the ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
